Quick One Pot Sausage and Rice Delight with savory sausage, tender rice, and simple seasonings cooked together in one pot.
12 oz smoked or Italian sausage, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup long-grain white rice
2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp dried thyme
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Chopped parsley, optional
Brown sausage in olive oil; remove and set aside.
Cook onion and bell pepper until soft.
Add garlic and cook briefly.
Stir in rice and spices; toast lightly.
Add broth and return sausage to pot.
Simmer covered until rice is tender.
Fluff, season, and rest briefly before serving.
Add broth when reheating if needed.
Adjust seasoning based on sausage type.
Vegetables can be added for variety.
